Out of over the 17,000 people I've worked with when it came to candida yeast related issues, that about 30% have been male.

And if more males knew that they could get "yeast" problems, then I'm guessing the split would be more like 50-50.  But, many guys still believe incorrectly that only yeast problems happen to women.

As far as your issues go, I've had many, many people, both male & female, complain about the smell.

You're doing what you should, except for the beer thing-- I don't know of another liquid refreshment that's worse for candida yeast sufferers than beer.

You'll obviously have to watch your carb intake.

This is a long-term process-- you have to just grind it out on a day by day basis.  And you will have a few down days.

Thanks. I knew that beer was full of yeast. It's just that I was feeling fine. Sometimes I like to think it's gone for good when I'm feeling well. That my body is back to normal and I can eat/drink whatever I want again. I guess the beer thing was a bad idea.

Keep this in mind...

Candida yeast can never ever be totally eliminated-- you can manage it, but you can't eliminate it.

Managing candida yeast is a teeter-totter that can be balanced through diet, dietary supplements and overall immune system strength.

If you skimp in one area, you'll have to make it up in another.

Yes, it does appear that candida yeast can be spread through sexual contact.  Many believe that so many babies suffer with diaper rash and candida related symptoms because they come in contact with candida yeast while traveling through the mother's vaginal canal.

And when we talk about candida yeast we have to remember that there seem to different strains of fungus, so taking that into considertion, you may have had a very aggressive strain passed on to you.

Aggressive strain. Yes, that makes sense then.

What are you guys talking about when you say a smell???  For 5 years since I've had my first child I have a smell...as in I smell smells that aren't really there.  They vary from a woodfire to gasoline to something rotten.  I was told by my neurologist that they are migraine auras, but I told him that I always have the smell, it just changes and I may or may not get a migraine after it.

Well, you know how they say some "unclean" women have a smell down "there" that smells like fish? Yeah, it's that kind of smell. I can't even describe it. The smell I dealt with was exclusively on my private parts. When I had the candida really bad it was a smell that I carried around with me. When I have my candida under control it disappears. Other people could smell it too. It's a very hard smell to describe. Kinda smells like urine, BO, caramel, sardines, rotten fruit, and the smell of a very dirty, stinky dog...all rolled into one. Not a pleasant smell at all. The person I caught candida from had the same exact horrible smell "down there". I should have known something was not right.

This is a crotch smell that I never had until I 'bumped into" this person. They gave me their candida through sexual contact. Their stinky smell became mine. It was my first symptom (that made itself known only a couple months after my sexual contact with this person); before it became full blown and went systemic (3 years after my contact with this person). This is not an aura smell or a migraine prelude smell. This is a real bonafide stinking smell that anybody with a nose could smell if they were "near me".

Stay on the anti candida diet, do not eat fermented foods and drink lots of water.  Use the threelac and the smell will go away.  I used to have a sort of smell like fish and always thought it was because I ate certain fish.  I do not eat pickles, or any fermented type food like sour kraut, or yeast breads or anything with yeast.  I eat yogurt ever day, plain with stevia and vanilla powder for flavor.  You can even take some of the yogurt plain and use it to the priviate areas that smell.  You will notice a big difference.  It is perfectly fine to use yogurt for this purpose.  It will sooth burning skin and relieve itching.  I also stay away from mold foods like cheeses and mushrooms.  Milk products are out with exceptions of organic yogurt.

Drink lots of water!

This may help the smell.  Start eating coconut oil, and coconut unsweetened to provide some additional Anti candida support.  It has Caprylic Acid.  Drink Par Darco Tea another good ANtifungal.

After you shower, use corn starch to place in the areas that smell the worst.  The smell is the Candida for sure.

I notice the smell more when I eat alot of fish.  But my dr. tells me it is the yeast and the reaction of the body chemistry.

Eat Plain organic yogurt with steevia.  You can flavor with Vanilla Bean or Lemon if you like.

You can also use the the plain yogurt to sooth irriated skin folds that may also be from candida in areas of various folds and sweaty areas of the body.

As you begin to eat natural and healthy and eliminate Mold Foods and Chemicals from your diet you will notice the smell disappearing. Don't use colognes to cover it up, you are just  putting more chemicals onto the skin which get into the body.  There are many natural products to bath in that will help clean the skin.  Using a loffa sponge, and or brushing the skin using hot water and making the skin red will open the pores and allow detoxification to occur.

Another way to detox the body through the skin is to take an hot bath with Epsom Salts.

Drink lots of water for sure to flush the sytem.  Encourage bowel elimination often taking psyllium hust and fax see meal if necessary.  If you are not having 3 bowels movements per day you are constipated.  The idea is to get your digestive system eliminating often to rid the body of the toxins the Candida are putting into your system.  Candida has approximately 76 other chemical reactions that are toxic to the body, so we are wanting to get rid of the overgrowth of it.

You should try to be like a puppy, Fed the puppy the puppy has to go out in about 20 mintues to 30 minutes.

OMG, I had the very same problem a few years ago.  Funny thing was it started about 4 weeks after starting the Atkins diet.  Looking back I think my body was in a tug of war.  Anyway, the smell was just awful.  I felt like I was rotting from the inside out.  No matter how many showers I took, etc it would just not go away.  I went to the doctor & of course she couldn't find anything wrong.  After doing some research I had to tell her.  A friend suggested I try applying the plain yogurt & it was wonderful.  I used a syringe from one of those OTC yeast infection kits.  Not only was it very soothing but it got rid of the smell for awhile.  I also started taking a product called Candida Clear which helped alot.  I didn't know about Threelac then & it was very reasonable... about $12.00 for a 90 day supply.  It finally calmed down but I still have issues once in a while.  As soon as I have the funds I plan to purchase the Threelac.  Whatever you do don't douche with anything (other than the plain yogurt).  It just made my problems worse.  My doctor told me it was the worst thing next to taking antibotics that I could have done.

Besides the threelac which I am increasing, I took a product called Candida Quick Cleanse to start the ball rolling while I started to take 1/2 three lac.  First time in all this time I could see the yeast in the urine in the toilet.  It was incredible. The product is Candida Quick Cleanse by Zane Products.  Coconut Oil may also be soothing on raw from itching and on rashes in skin folds.  It has caprylic acid and very good as an antifungal.
