In a nutshell-- candida yeast eat, just like
all living organisms.  And just like all living
organisms waste is expelled.  This is where the
trouble starts...

You see it appears that we (human beings) have
various degrees of allergic reactions to this
toxic waste.  And that's why you could have 10
people in a room all suffering from a candida
yeast overgrowth but no two of them having
exactly the same issues.

Now say we introduce a product like Threelac
that can aggressively goes after the candida yeast--
or say a product like Inulation that helps feeds the
good bacteria so it grows, reproduces and helps
crowd out the bad guys... what do you think
could happen?

Precisely!  The candida yeast can start to go away!

And this is a good thing!

However as the candida yeast expire they can
release their toxins into the body... And it's
not just a small amount of candida yeast that
is expiring but you potentially have this big
candida yeast "extermination party" going on due
to the Threelac and the Inulation.  The result
is that for a brief time period your body is
potentially getting a large shot of toxins.

And with the possible increase of toxins can
come a slight increase in severity of your
issues. Or you may even get another issue
like say 'hives' or a skin rash or gas/bloating
that you had not experienced previously.
Fortunately this die-off period doesn't last
too long-- typically a couple days to a couple
weeks.  But most importantly you can take steps
to minimize the affects of die-off.

Step #1 would be to take activated charcoal,
bentonite clay or some other product that has
the ability to 'absorb' these toxins as they
are released throughout the body.

Step #2 would be to drink lots of water to help
'flush' out the toxins.

Step #3 would be to take fiber-- again getting
the toxins out of your body as quickly as
possible will only aid you in the long run.

Step #4 is for folks that suffer from hives or
skin rashes as a result of 'die-off'.  I know
many have reported they took 'Benadryl' or
other products that help combat allergies.
Many also report positive results by applying
salves or oinments to the affected areas of the
body. If necessary you can also cut down your
Threelac dosage to just a small part of a
packet per day... and then slowly build back up.

About 50% of people report that they go through
some sort of die-off.  And personally I consider
it to be a good thing!

Why?

Because it is telling you that something was
wrong (you had a candida yeast overgrowth) and it's
in the process of being fixed!  I admit I get
disheartened when someone sends back a partial box
of Threelac with a note saying they feel 'worse'
than they did before!  And my answer is a Homer
Simpson like 'D-OH!'  Of course you may feel worse
for a short while after you start with Threelac
(if you want faster relief get the Inulation too)
it's due to the 'die-off'!

Thankfully well over 90% of the people get through
the temporary discomfort of die-off and start
experiencing the sweet relief that Threelac and
Inulation help can bring.  I'm always grateful when I
get emails or notes from people telling me how
great they feel and how thankful they are for
sticking with the program.

Please keep in mind that not everyone goes through any sort of "die-off".  Only about 40% of the people we work with go through a "die-off" stage... and for most it's a pretty mild experience.

Hi, just read your input about die-off symptoms - and it describes my situation down to a 'T'. I e-mailed mike last night because I was not sure about what was going on - I have treated candida overgrowth in the past but by a different regime, I did experience die-off then but it didn't happen quite so fast.  My symptoms before were like someone had come over and pulled out my plug, Iwould have to lie down for fifteen to twenty minutes before I had the strength to stand up again.   I had sweats and lightheadedness - the list goes on but this time I am having quite serious head pain, foggy head, lots of gas (quite painful cramping) and pain associated with fibromyalgia is excrutiating ( I can't lift my arms even to brush my teeth).

On reading your article, and on reading Mike's reply, I feel a little better about continuing with the Threelac and the Inulation.  It is very early days for me again and I know that I have to stick with it as it does gets better - my worry is - I will  never be free from it completely? Ingy.

Ingy's post was from August 2008. I would be very interested as to how she is doing now, a couple of months later. Also I would be interested to find out if people taking Threelac also experience a loss of weight along with the die-off .

I am a new customer of Mike's and am looking forward to taking Threelac along with my wife in order to get rid of various concerns we accumulated over the years. We are otherwise healthy thank God. Any experience with getting rid of toe nail fungus would also be much appreciated.

Good questions...

Toe-nail fungus is one of the most difficult things to get under control because of the time it takes to not only get the fungal problem sorted but for the body to regrow new nails.

Even the strong prescription anti-fungals advertised on TV show in the tiny print down at the bottom of the screen that it could take those products upwards of a year to get toe-nail fungus under control.

Many of the people I've talked to report it taking between 4 and 8 months getting their issues under control with Threelac and sometimes augmenting that with Inulation (a prebiotic) or Allimax caps (a natural antifungal made from allicin-- the fungal fighting part of garlic).

Thank you Candiday for your quick reply on a Sunday yet, I do appreciate the length of time it would take to cure toe nail fungus. As I understand that it also took months and years in fact to develop, I can attest to it, and for the fungus to really spread.

The best thing we could do is to tell people to watch for even small signs of toe nail or even finger nail fungus and do something about it, BEFORE they take hold in the body. But one thing I would never do is take things like pharmaceuticals called Lamisil to attempt a cure. Too many very dangerous side effects. Even my own doctor advised me against such a cure.

If you can find any knowledge of weight loss linked to fighting yeast overgrowth please let me know. Thank you and have a great Sunday.

HI, I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA TOO. I CANNOT EVEN GET OUT OF BED ON SOME DAYS.I FEEL LIKE DEATH WARMED OVER. I HAVE A REALLY BAD CANDIDA PROBLEM TOO.SINCE I HAVE BEEN USING THREELAC AND INULATION I HAVE HAD A FEW REALLY GOOD DAYS. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET WELL OR JUST BETTER. YOU REALLY SHOULD TRY THIS FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF MONTHS. I AM GOING TO INCREASE MY DOSE TO 3 PACKS OF THREELAC A DAY AND 3 SCOOPS OF INULATION SINCE THE 1 DOSE A DAY IS HELPING ME. I GOTTA GET THIS STUFF UNDER CONTROL. YOU ARE TELLING MY STORY AND MOST OTHER PEOPLES WITH CANDIDA AND FIBROMYALGIA SYNDROME. LIFE IS REALLY HELL WITH THIS STUFF. A DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT FIBROMYALGIA WAS A FUNGAL DISEASE CAUSED BY YEAST AND FUNGUS. I THINK HE IS RIGHT. I HAD A TEST DONE CALLED A SPUTEM OR SPUTUM. I TESTED POSITIVE FOR YEAST--FUNGAL AND BACTERIAL INFECTIONS. THIS TEST PROBABLY SAVED MY LIFE.IT GAVE ME THE STRENGHT TO FIGHT ON. BEST WISHES, TYE BROWN

Hi!  How are you doing now.  I also have FMS, had chronic fatigue, but that has really improved with supplements.  My chiropractor sort of agrees with your doctor to some degree.  He things that those of us with FMS symptoms and chronic fatigue symptoms  definely have a yeast related issue that actually perpetuates the syndromes.

I bought a book called Reversing Fibromyalgia and Exhausted in America. They really helped me recover my strength so I could concentrate on the Candida issues.

I would say that the FMS symptoms are minor now about 85% better than before and the chronic fatigue is 90% better.  I do not have to sleep 12 hrs to get enought strenth to go just to work and back to bed anymore.  I am carrying on a normal day most of the time.  With exceptions of severe weather changes.

Seems like winter again, I have candida in my sinus' again.  It took me 6 months the last time.  I have had a headache for 4 days now.  Looking to hear if anyone has some ideas to get relief fast.  I do not take medications any more, so if anyone has a natural remedy, I would love to hear about them.

Best wishes and hope you are doing well. see you later, LuAnn

:)   Hi ljohnson6 !

Ingy here,

Its not a cure but can give some relief - place a tissue with a few (up to 5 drops) of lavendar oil at the side of your bed at night.  It works well in reducing inflamation in the sinuses and helps clear nasal congestion without irritation.   It is also useful for relaxation and so helps promote a good nights sleep.   When you lie down, massage the sides of your nose very gently and stroke with your fingers (very lightly) from nose to ear every few minutes.  This helps to move lymph and sinus from the area.   Try gentle massage on and above eyebrows and out to the temple.

I have suffered from sinus problems for years, on and off and it truly helps ease some of the discomfort.

Hope it helps.

Ingy

I have had problems with sinus infections and serious congention for years and I have discovered that there are some pressure points you can work on that can help immensely, in fact you can knock out a sinus infection without a prescription.  It is kind of complicated the area's that you need to use pressure on, but it really does work.  There are about 12 spots that I use pressure on that relieve the problems, they are on the face, neck and back of the head.  If you are interested in trying it let me know.

My physical therapist has worked wonders for my sinus problems , but I never really payed attention to what he was doing. So if you can explain where the pressure points are that would be a great help. Thanks Claire

I need to preface that I have not gone to school to learn the pressure points, i have a acupressure book and have found out there are a few that work for me, but they may not be those used by the experts, so this is simply home therapy.

1. the first one I do is right between the eyes.  feel around until you find a sore spot or tender spot, then put gentle but firm pressure to all the following spots, i usually hold each pressure point for the count of 100 and i count faster than a second.  i do that because there are about 13 to 15 point and it takes a while, but I do this 2 to 3 times a day when I have a sinus infection and I do it at least once to 2 times a day for maintenance to keep my sinus draining.  My lymph nodes in around my ear and jaw get tender and very sore most of the year and my ear plugs up so some of my problem could have to do with drainage in my ear, but I do the whole thing as a package and it keeps my sinus and lymph system working well.  2. the middle of the eye brow there is a sore spot. 3. Above the middle of the eye brow look for one. 4. on each side of the nose bridege across from the tear duct. 5. farther down the bridge of the nose about half way down kind of along side the nose, look for the tender spot. 6 go out into the top of the cheek bone look for the tender spot. Then I go out into the ear area so if you just want to focus on the sinus this should help that, but many times the sinus and the ear are connected.  7. In the temple area towards the back of the soft spot there is a tender area. 8. Above where the ear attaches to the head there is a tender spot. 9. just in front of the ear where the ear hole is look for the tender spot. 10. drop down to the bottom of the ear right under the ear on the back side of the jaw bone.  11.  move out into the cheek almost at the back end of the teeth, look for the tender spot.  12. Half way down the bottom of the jaw under the teeth there is a spot, once again it is very small but look for the tender spot.  13. under the jaw bone at joint, so it is kind if in the mouth area beteen the jaw bone and the tongue, feel for the tender spot. 14. behind the ear there is a bone, feel around on it down towards the bottom, feel for the tender spot. 15. Last at the back of the head there is bone, towards the bottom of the bone, feel for the tender spot.  Hopefully this will work for you, I have had a miraculous results with this, at least it works for me.  I hope it will work for you.  I suppose these spots could be in a little different place for each person, the key is to feel for the tender spot and hold gentle but firm pressure, it will hurt somewhat.  The more infection or the more inflammation there is the more it will hurt, the purpose is to release the toxins and inflammation in those area's so they will drain and heal.  The more I do it the less those spots hurt.  Good luck.

Most of my problems now are with chemical sensitivities, but we are way better.

I was talking to my sister last night and she read an article about draining the lymphn nodes in the ear.  You run your thumbs, I did my finger and my thumb along the jaw line on each side of the bottom side of the teeth or jaw area, from the chin to the ear.  Go slowly there are lymph nodes all along the area you will feel the sore spots.  when you get to the ear, press your thumb or finger in the hollow spot under the ear, hold for a while, I can't remember how long I would hold to a count of say 60, then heel of the palm of the hand and run under the ear down the neck, this will help the eustatian tube drain and the ear unplug and the lymph nodes around it drain.  I am just starting to use this method, I am hoping it will work because I have had serious problems for so many years I can't even count them any more.  Let me know if it works for you.  thanks Kathy

I have been taking threelac for the last week.  In fact, I got the super seven so I am taking a multitude of products to knock out the yeast.  In conjuction to doing this, I have also cut out all processed foods which contain yeast and have been eating a diet full of healthy vegetables, beans, and nuts/seeds.  I have cut out sugar, alcohol, and recently quit smoking as well.  I am wondering after a week, why my stomach bloat seems even worse.  Usually after a week of just changing my diet, the bloat goes down, but this time, it is worse than before I started taking the products.  Any thoughts, ideas about this?

You may be getting hidden forms of yeast. CHeck all supplements  they should be yeast free.  No cheeses. or Mushrooms or fungi foods.

The only vinegar you should have is apple cider vinegar.

You may want to try alkaseltzer gold for the bloating. Sodium biccarbonate. Like club soda.

Add some ginger to your diet.

You will have bloating from time to time depending on what you eat. You may also want to nix pastas.  Stick with brown rice. White rice is out. Potatoes keep it to a minimum.  Red potatoe better than white potatoe.

You will need to experiment with your diet.

Are you taking acidofillus?  Digestive Enzymes with each meal as well?

The bloating can be part of the die off processes. Drink lots of water.

I found that activated charcoal really helped with bloating when making you feel bad.

Wishing you well.

It is part of the die off process.  A few days and it will go away and then again it can happen. Grin and bare.  It is signs of better days to come.
